Quick summary
This guide sets out practical steps to help you identify, compare and qualify for business finance in the UK. It is general information, not financial advice.
1. Headline Rate vs Total Cost
Do not compare offers on the advertised rate alone. Add in arrangement fees, broker or platform fees, and any ongoing account charges, then compare the total amount repayable over the term. Some lenders quote a monthly or flat rate, so make sure you are comparing like with like.
2. Check the Early Settlement Terms
If you expect to repay early, for example when a large customer invoice is paid, check whether the lender rebates unused interest or charges the full agreed amount. Flexible early settlement can be worth more than a slightly lower rate.
3. Bring Your Accountant In
Business finance touches your tax position, your VAT and your balance sheet. Sharing the options we find with your accountant before you sign makes sure the deal suits your business, not just the monthly cash flow.
How we work
- No credit check is run to show you indicative options.
- Rates and terms are set by the lender, not by Bizzloans.
- We are a commercial finance broker, not a lender.
- Your information is handled under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
